Education + Fun = A Day at Miller's

Why should your class visit Miller's Orchards Farm Market for the Fall Field Trip?  Because we put Farm FUN into Education! Our farm is committed to producing healthy, nutritious food and sharing our farming adventures with the community around us.  Only at Miller’s will you find:

§   Farm animals in their year-round pasture not in a “zoo-like” setting
§   Access to 80 acres of a real-life food-producing farm and real-life farmers!
§   The 5th and 6th generation of our family actively involved in the farm. (And don’t forget our 4th generation Grandpa giving us a hand!)
§   A family farm dedicated to “giving back” to the land and practicing sustainable agriculture methods

We think farming is FUN—and we think your students will too after a day at Miller’s. We offer three different Field Trip Options (See the links on the left) so you can choose the best Farm day for your class.  Your students will leave with a new understanding of the farmer’s role in our community and a better sense of where their food comes from. We’ll provide a farm-based lesson—designed in accordance with PA Dept of Education standards— and/or you can incorporate one, too, during your visit to the farm.
